Common Issues:

I need help to setup my email account.

I have issues sending mails out to my recipients / I encountered a “We do not relay” error message. (SMTP Authentication)

1. Start the Microsoft Outlook program.

Use the Start menu to start Outlook 2016/2019/2021/Classic. (If this is the first time you are using Outlook on your device, a small window with Outlook logo will prompt you to create a new account. Please close this window by clicking on the X sign located at the top right corner of the window.)

Under the main Outlook user interface, click the File tab located at the top left corner, then the Account Settings -> Manage Profiles button.

Under Mail Setup – Outlook window, click Email Accounts button.

Under Account Settings window, click New button.

Under Add Account Window, choose the Email Account option, and fill in the necessary details. Click Next when done. Outlook will attempt to use Autodiscover to find your default POP3 account and server settings. (If you wish to skip Autodiscover or prefer to create an IMAP account, choose the Manual setup or additional server types option, and click Next. Then skip to Step 3.)

If Outlook Autodiscover is successful, you will see the message Your POP3 email account is successfully configured. Click Finish to complete the account setup.

If Outlook Autodiscover is not successful, or the account setup takes a long time (more than 1 minute) to process, cancel the Autodiscover process by clicking the Back button. Then proceed to Step 2 for manual setup.

2. The Add Account window appears.

When this window appears, leave the spaces empty, choose the Manual setup or additional server types option, then click Next.

3. The “Choose Service window” appears.

Choose POP or IMAP, then click Next.

4. The “POP and IMAP Account Settings” window appears.

This is the window where you’ll enter most of your account settings. Be sure to choose POP3 and use the above email server information. You may refer to the image file as an example.

“Your Name” is the name that other people will see when you send them e-mail. It should usually be your real name.

Enter your “Email Address”. The address must be the e-mail address of the mailbox you created in your account management control panel.

For “Account Type”, choose POP3.

Enter both the “Incoming mail server” and “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” as mentioned below.
